Kanab Sports started with a simple problem: too much local sports information was scattered around, and families were missing things they would have cared about if they had known.

The idea began on the sidelines of girls travel soccer. We kept hearing the same version of the problem—not that people weren’t interested, but that they didn’t know when teams were playing, where to find schedules, what was open for registration, or where updates were being posted.

So Kanab Sports is becoming one useful front door for local sports: high-school scores and schedules, rec registration, team pages, places to play, and what’s happening next.

For parents, My Family is free. Add your kids and teams once, then see their upcoming games and practices together, keep coach updates in one place, and share a team with another parent without hunting through old texts. Public team pages stay open to everyone; a free parent account simply saves your family across devices.

For coaches and recreation administrators, the goal is the opposite of adding another job. Update information once, and the right families should be able to find it. Coach tools are being built around schedules, announcements, team communication, score reporting, and simple role-based access.

Not every win needs the same spotlight. Youth and rec celebrations belong with the families following those teams. Bigger Kanab High wins can be shared with the whole community, while moments like Homecoming, playoffs, and championships can get the bigger celebration they deserve.

Kanab is the proving ground. We’re building this here first, with real teams and real parents, while designing the platform so other small towns can eventually have the same kind of local sports home without having to build one from scratch.

The parent experience will stay free. The business is built around community organizations and local sponsors supporting the useful thing—not charging families to follow their kids.

Kanab Sports exists to make it easier to know what’s happening, support local teams, and show up.
